Once upon a time, in a small and sunny town, there lived a curious child named Leo. Leo loved asking questions.
“Why do people sneeze?”
“How does the heart work?”
“What makes us feel better when we are sick?”
While other children dreamed of being astronauts or pirates, Leo had a different dream.
“I want to be a doctor,” Leo said with a bright smile. “I want to help people feel better.”
Every day after school, Leo played “doctor” with stuffed animals. The teddy bear had a sore throat, the bunny had a hurt leg, and the doll had a fever. Leo listened carefully, gave kind words, and always said, “Don’t worry, I’m here to help.”
One day, Leo’s little sister caught a cold. She was tired and sad. Leo sat next to her and said,
“Doctors help with medicine, but they also help with kindness.”
Leo brought her water, reminded her to rest, and told her a funny story. Soon, she smiled. Their mother watched and said,
“A good doctor cares with both the mind and the heart.”
At school, Leo’s teacher talked about the human body. Leo learned that the heart pumps blood, the lungs help us breathe, and doctors study many years to understand how the body works. Leo listened very carefully.
“Doctors must study hard,” the teacher said. “But they must also be patient and kind.”
That night, Leo looked up at the stars and thought, I will study. I will learn. I will help.
Years passed, and Leo kept the dream alive. Leo learned to eat healthy food, wash hands often, and exercise—because doctors must take care of themselves too. Leo helped friends when they fell down and comforted them when they were scared.
One day, Leo visited a hospital on a school trip. A real doctor smiled and asked,
“Do you want to be a doctor one day?”
“Yes!” Leo said proudly.
“Then remember,” the doctor said, “being a doctor means never giving up and always caring for others.”
Leo nodded.
And so, with a big dream, a kind heart, and a curious mind, Leo took the first steps toward becoming a doctor.
Because every great doctor starts as a caring child who wants to help.
