Once upon a time, in a meadow filled with colorful flowers and gentle spring breezes, there lived a cheerful little bunny named Benny. Benny wasn’t just any bunny—he was the Easter Bunny’s youngest helper!
Every year, the Easter Bunny painted beautiful eggs and hid them for children to find. But this year, something magical was happening: Benny was finally old enough to help!
Benny woke up early on Easter morning. His long ears twitched with excitement, and his tail wiggled like a fluffy cloud.
“Today is my big day!” he said proudly.
When Benny hopped outside, the Easter Bunny was waiting for him beside a basket full of plain white eggs.
“Good morning, Benny,” the Easter Bunny said with a warm smile. “I have a special mission for you. I want you to paint the Kindness Eggs.”
Benny blinked. “What are Kindness Eggs?”
“They are magical eggs that only appear when someone does something kind,” the Easter Bunny explained. “Your job is to fill them with kindness and hide them in the Secret Garden.”
Benny wanted to do a great job, so he started right away.
He dipped his brushes into soft spring colors—pink like cherry blossoms, yellow like sunshine, blue like a clear morning sky.
While painting, Benny whispered kind thoughts into each egg:
“You will make someone smile.”
“You will bring joy to a friend.”
“You will remind someone they are loved.”
Soon the basket glowed with beautiful, shimmering eggs.
But Benny still didn’t know where the Secret Garden was.
“Follow your heart,” the Easter Bunny said, gently tapping Benny’s nose.
So Benny hopped through the meadow, over tiny streams, and past blooming tulips. He listened carefully to the birds’ cheerful songs. Then he noticed a faint sparkle behind a curtain of vines.
Pushing the vines aside, Benny gasped.
There it was—the Secret Garden!
Flowers glowed with pastel colors. Butterflies danced in the air. A soft light shone from the center of the garden like a warm hug.
“This is perfect,” Benny whispered.
He hid each Kindness Egg carefully:
under a rose bush, beside a purple daisy, behind a stone shaped like a heart.
When he finished, something magical happened. The whole garden began to sparkle even brighter. The flowers grew taller, the colors shimmered, and the air filled with the scent of fresh spring rain.
The Easter Bunny appeared beside Benny.
“You did it,” he said proudly. “You brought kindness to the world.”
Benny’s heart felt warm and full.
And from that day on, every Easter morning, children who found a Kindness Egg felt a little braver, a little happier, and a little more loved.
And Benny?
He became the most joyful helper the Easter Bunny ever had.
