The Little Easter Light

A calming Easter bedtime story about Milo the gentle bunny.

Once upon a time, on a gentle spring evening when the moon glowed like a soft silver lamp, there was a peaceful little valley called Willowbrook. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blossoms, and even the stars seemed to shine more quietly, as if they did not want to wake anyone. It was Easter night, the kind of night made for calm thoughts and cozy dreams.

In Willowbrook lived a small, fluffy bunny named Milo. Milo was a thoughtful bunny with velvety ears and bright, curious eyes. He was not loud or hurried. Instead, he liked to move slowly and notice everything—the way the grass sparkled with dew, the way clouds drifted lazily across the sky, and the way the world became softer when night arrived.

On this special Easter night, Milo wore a tiny basket tied gently around his neck. Inside the basket were beautifully painted Easter eggs in soft pastel colors—lavender, pale yellow, mint green, and sky blue. Each egg held a little bit of magic: comfort for worried hearts, joy for sleepy children, and hope for the brand-new spring.

Milo hopped quietly through the meadow so he would not disturb the sleeping animals. He passed baby lambs snuggled close to their mothers and hedgehogs curled into tiny balls beneath bushes. Every now and then, Milo stopped to listen. The night was full of peaceful sounds—crickets singing lullabies and the wind brushing gently through the trees.

Near a cozy farmhouse, Milo carefully placed an egg beneath a window where a child was dreaming. The egg shimmered softly, spreading warmth and happiness. Farther along, he tucked another egg beside a blooming daffodil, and the flower seemed to smile in its sleep.

As Milo reached the edge of the valley, he noticed a small bird named Lila sitting awake in her nest. Her feathers were ruffled, and she looked worried about the long night ahead. Milo climbed carefully up the tree and placed a softly glowing golden egg beside her.

“This one is for peace and courage,” Milo whispered kindly.

Lila felt her worries fade away like a bad dream. She nestled into her nest, closed her eyes, and soon drifted into a calm, happy sleep. Above them, the moon shone a little brighter, as if it approved of Milo’s gentle work.

By the time the basket was empty, Milo felt pleasantly tired. He found a quiet patch of clover, curled into a warm ball, and rested his head on his paws. As he fell asleep, the valley was wrapped in Easter magic—soft, kind, and full of new beginnings.

When morning came, children would wake to colorful surprises, animals would stretch happily in the spring sun, and the world would feel fresh and hopeful once more.

All because of a small bunny named Milo, who believed that the most beautiful magic should always be shared quietly, with love.

And under the calm Easter sky, Willowbrook slept peacefully… just like you.

Good night, and happy Easter.
